Hello, I’m Laela, this is what I thought of my two weeks of
work experience. I have extremely enjoyed my time at Zoom-in, from
pinhole photography, to watching Vadim struggle to open the door to
the equipment cupboard; it has been an experience to remember. From
the moment I found out where my work experience placement would be,
I was looking forward to coming, and learning a bunch of new skills
and generally having a good time. In particular, I loved working in
the darkroom, and watching as my pictures slowly appeared, using the
enlargers and measuring out the chemicals. One thing that I wasn’t
to keen on was admin and working on excel, and although I haven’t
had to do a lot, I still found myself falling asleep in front of the
laptop. Another part of the day I really enjoyed was lunch (FOOD!),
even though it has nothing to do with photography, it’s still
a nice time of the day when I get to speak to the two other people
doing work experience. So that’s it a small summary of my time
at Zoom-in. Bye.
