I have been volunteering at Zoom In since September 2010. My career was originally in finance however I had a falling out with it in April last year due to irreconcilable differences. I am currently trying to establish myself as a photographer in Events, Travel, Film & Music Promotion and available light Portraits.

Voluntering at Zoom In has been a great experience for me so far. I have really enjoyed assisting tutors on Introduction to DSLR and Creative Digital Photography courses, and the bonus for someone like me(bad short term memory) is that the information provided is a good way for some things to finally sink in.

The atmostphere at Zoom In is extremely friendly, and there is a wealth of knowledge, contacts and advice to be found from its volunteering programme. It's a really great starting platform for all types of photographers as there is a large variety of projects to get involved in, from courses, skill sharing to talks and exhibitions.
