courses aimed at students at any level of photographic ability who
wish to refresh their skills in any area. Our refresher photography
courses will recap on all the skills you have previously learnt exploring
any areas you feel you need covered in more detail.
Camera
Skills
The refresher Camera Skills course is designed to bring your basic
photographic skills up to date and is ideal for those of you who have
recently upgraded to a modern 35mm SLR camera, film or digital, having
not picked up that old 35mm in years! We will revise various photographic
techniques, such as exposure readings, lenses, aperture and shutter
speed controls, depth of field, film and ISO rating.

Darkroom
Skills
This course revises producing contact sheets and test strips,
and making quality prints. You will revise all the basic elements
of darkroom printing, how to use the darkroom safely, and you will
gain all the darkroom skills needed to work in the darkroom independently.

Processing
In this film processing revision course we will guide you through
film processing from winding film onto its spiral to using the charts
and instructions on film packaging. You will revise and explore the
subtle arts of chemicals and dilutions to alter the look of your final
printed photographs.

Assisted
Darkroom
Assisted Darkroom is a darkroom session designed specifically
for the photographer who has darkroom experience but would like the
reassurance of a technician on call. Participants gain access to our
darkroom where they have the opportunity to work independently on
their printing techniques, while being able to resource expert help
and advice when required. You need to be a member of Zoom In’s
darkroom to attend this session.
