Assisted Darkroom
Session Details

Duration of the course
Assisted Darkroom sessions are booked for a 3 hour duration.

Black and White Printing

This session may be taken as one three-hour day darkroom session on a weekend day or one weeknight.

Aim of the Assisted Darkroom
The aim of the Assisted Darkroom sessions is to give you time to work in the darkroom knowing that someone will be on hand if you need any advice. It is not a taught session and does not follow a module of study, you will be expected to work on your own. In this session your assistant will observe to ensure they are comfortable you are able to get started and will check to see that you are managing throughout the duration of the session.

Black and White Printing

Materials needed: One set of black and white negatives and one (25 sheet) packet of 10” x 8” resin coated, variable contrast, black and white photographic paper (finish of your choice although glossy or pearl/lustre finishes are easier to work with for beginners).

Objectives of Session: To provide you with a safe and supportive environment and to offer guidence and advice as and when necessary.
