You will learn to use a digital SLR camera competently and understand how to use photographic techniques to achieve creative affects. You will be able to identify and look for good composition, and have the basic skills to use digital imaging software with confidence. You will understand about different file formats and file sizes, and be able to crop, re-touch, adjust the colour balance and contrast of your images. You will look at the differences of natural light and available/artificial light as well as portable flash and different filters used for colour correction and white balance functions. Students will be able to use exposure techniques to improve image quality, use camera filters for correction and effect, understand the mechanics of the camera and understand theories of composition. You will also understand editing, print finishing and presenting your work.

Where do we hold our photography classes?
We hold most of our photography courses on our premises in the Clapham

However, we do also use other nearby premises for our courses and we
will inform you when confirming your booking if the location is different.
