You
will learn and become confident in 35mm film SLR manual camera control,
black & white and colour film processing, black and white photographic
printing, colour photography - film and use of light, creative exposure
techniques, different film types, filters, image manipulation, variable
contrast papers, darkroom chemicals, colour toning and print finishing.
In addition you will explore and develop your creative potential in
the areas of subject matter, image making and final image production.

Who is the Creative Photography
course aimed at?
Creative Photography is our most popular course. This intensive yet
straightforward photography course combines elements of our Beginners
and Intermediate courses over a 12-week period. It is aimed at those
with film 35mm SLR cameras, new to photography, who wish to study
all its elements in a cohesive yet supportive study programme.

Progression Routes
Creative Photography prepares students for academic
study and vocational opportunities and all our Advanced
Photography courses. You may also want to consider our Travel

When do we hold Creative Photography
classes?
Creative Photography is either a weekend or an
evening course, running over six weekend days or twelve weeknights.

to attend this course but you think you cannot commit to the duration
of the course or you maybe restricted by time commitments you might
be interested in either of our Basic
Photography, Camera
Techniques or our Darkroom
Techniques. These are also beginners to intermediate courses in
Photography and contain some of the same modules and can be taken
independently to suit other time commitments.
