The Liquid Emulsion Photography course enables you to print your photographs on virtually any surface you fancy, from T-shirts to mugs. You can explore liquid emulsion as a fresh artistic medium, printing onto canvases and home made paper. You will discover how to coat surfaces and process prints onto whichever surface appeals to you. The Liquid Emulsion course enables you to make striking use of both your photographs and your imagination.

Course Overview:

Who is the Liquid Emulsion course aimed at?
Liquid Emulsion is a specialist printing course and is aimed at students with a good knowledge of basic black and white photographic printing. If you have never done your own printing before we offer a Darkroom Introduction and Darkroom Basics or even our Basic Photography, which provides students with all they need to know to go on to Liquid Emulsion and explore this exciting creative area.

Progression Routes
Liquid Emulsion prepares students for academic study and vocational opportunities and our darkroom-based Advanced Photography courses. You may also want to consider our Darkroom Techniques course or even Camera Techniques and Studio Lighting.

When do we hold Liquid Emulsion classes?
Liquid Emulsion is either a weekend or an evening course, running over one weekend day or one weeknight. Please see our Photography Course Schedule for more details.

How do you join our photography classes?
To join the Liquid Emulsion workshop please check dates, prices and availability on our Photography Course Schedule page and then fill out our Enrolment Form. If there are no dates available for the time you want to attend please let us know by filling in our Course Enquiry Form.

If you are a group wishing to book the course please also contact us through our Course Enquiry form or call 020 7720 2891 between 9am and 1pm.

We only need two or three students to run this photography workshop, so we may be able to create an extra course if we have the demand. Alternatively you may want to consider attending a couple of one to one sessions, please see our One to One Photography Tuition page for details.

Where do we hold our photography classes?
We hold most of our photography courses on our premises in the Clapham Leisure Centre, details of how to get there can be found on our Zoom In location page.
