Landscape
photography concentrates on the techniques and compositional aids
of creating great Landscape shots. This landscape photography course
will cover different types and formats of cameras suitable for landscape
photography, exposure issues relating to working on location.
You will learn how to select the most appropriate film to use for
the location shoot and compositional techniques to get the most out
of the landscape. This course covers theoretical aspects of landscape
photography with a practical session on location and concluding with
an evaluation session.

Who is the Landscape Photography
course aimed at?
The Landscape Photography course is suitable for those of you with
a good understanding of camera control, who want to improve the quality
of your photographs. You may be a keen amateur photographer who wishes
to advance their photography or someone looking to gain professional
photography skills.
Landscape Photography course is an advanced lesson in photography
and is ideal for those who have completed any of our Intermediate
or Advanced Photography camera
based courses such as Camera
Techniques, Medium Format Photography,
Large Format Photography and those
who have an extremely good understanding of their film or digital
cameras manual controls.
If you have never really used your 35mm SLR film or digital camera
on its manual settings before we would advise you to take either Camera
Introduction, Camera
Basics and even our Basic
Photography from our Beginners
courses, which provides students with a grounding in basic camera
skills.
Progression Routes
The Landscape Photography course prepares students
for academic study and vocational opportunities. You may also want
to consider our Darkroom
Techniques or Travel
Photography courses.
When do we hold Landscape Photography
classes?
Landscape Photography is course that is split into
theoretical sessions taking place during a weekday evening followed
by a session on location running over a weekend and followed by a
weekday evening evaluation session a couple of weeks after the shoot.

Form. If there are no dates available for the time you want to
attend please let us know by filling in our Course

We only need four or five students
to run this photography workshop, so we may be able to create an extra
course if we have the demand. Alternatively you may want to consider

Where do we hold
our photography classes?
We hold most of our photography courses on our premises in the Clapham
Leisure Centre, details of how to get there can be found on our Zoom
In location page. However, we plan a field trip as part of the
Landscape Photography course, details of where will be provided on
