Course synopsis: Travel Photography

Travel Photography

Travel Photography is an intermediate lesson in photography and is ideal for those who have completed any of our Beginners Photography camera-based courses and those who have a good understanding of their 35mm SLR film or digital cameras manual controls. If you have never really used your 35mm SLR film or digital camera on its manual settings before we would advise you to take either Camera Introduction, Camera Basics and even our Basic Photography from our Beginners Courses, which provides students with all they need to know to go on to the Travel Photography Workshop. Travel Photography is a very popular course that enables students to take holiday or travel photographs with a difference. Learn the difference between a holiday snap and a great travel photograph. Then this course will enable you to capture the best moments of your holidays creatively. This two-day workshop spans at least three weeks, starting with an introduction on useful tips and techniques to take better holiday photographs. Areas explored include composition, subject, capturing people and places and making the best use of weather conditions. You will discover how to get the most from your camera and surroundings, before being given an assignment to complete over the intervening weeks. You are not expected to go on holiday but it would be a great excuse to go! Tutor and students will then reconvene after the break to discuss your assignments and give you valuable and constructive feedback on your work. Those wishing to explore travel photography as a career will learn useful tips and advice on how best to start.
