Course aims and objectives
- To offer skills-based learning in photography.
- To provide a relaxed and friendly, ‘drop-in’ style learning
environment.
- To enable participants to develop and express their creativity,
and explore issues around portraiture and identity.
- To produce a display of the participants’ photographs, in order
to give them a sense of achievement, and to offer them a means
of expressing their creative ideas in a public space.
- To offer a way for volunteers interested in photography to take
part in a project, which benefits the community, and develop their
workshop-leading skills.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Use a 35mm camera competently
- Understand how to use photographic techniques, lighting and composition
to achieve creative effects.
