From Seeing To Showing will take place over

photography creative exchange and team-spirit, insight and valuable
skills in teaching and running workshops and give young people a means
of self-expression.
During the 5 week long workshop, around 60 young participants between
the age of 12 and 18 years old, will work alongside professional photographers
and a team of Zoom In volunteers. They will learn basic digital photography
and video skills. They will also be introduced to medium format photography,
studio lighting and Black and White printing.Participants
attend the project for two weeks.
During the first week young learners gain knowledge of photography,
including technical camera skills, composition techniques and digital
imaging. In the second week they return as young volunteers and help
the new young learners by demonstrating their knowledge of team building
and learning/training skills and their knowledge of photography.
The project culminates in an open day event run by the young people,
which includes photography demonstrations that displayed the skills
learnt by participants as well as a public exhibition showcasing the
high quality photographs taken during the project.
